I’ve seen communities coming together & our community has been doing amazing things! Since the stay at home order that started on March 26th, we’ve seen drastic changes in the economy as well as our daily lives. Although we are all experiencing this together. It’s affecting us in different ways. I’m continuing to focus on staying positive though and continuing to serve my buyers and sellers at the highest level and helping them with anything they need. If we all work together we will absolutely get through this! Here is an update on Covid in Vail Valley and our amazing local businesses.

Alpine Arts

Alpine Arts is hosting Zoom art classes and an online art store. What a great opportunity to do something fun with family! With all of us being home and running out of things to do why not give this a try. While you’re also helping out a local business. For more information and how to sign up click here!

Ein Prosit

Ein Prosit fine beer and sausages are open for curbside pick up! They are offering an amazing selection of draft beer to go. Buy a growler or bring in your own. We are offering 25% takeout beer and wine and 10% off all food orders. Try our new “Take Home and Cook Party Pack” for four (four sausages, rolls, two sides and a pretzel for $23.50). Keep an eye on their menu as they are continuing to update and add more specials! Click here for take out information and how to order!

Eagle County Update

Second Home-owners are welcome in Eagle County while state orders still discourage travel.Limits travel into or around Eagle County to local residents only. “Local residents” are defined as persons who own, maintain, or live in a home or residence in Eagle County.

Travel to the mountains is discouraged, but if it’s for an essential reason (real estate can qualify as essential according to the state guidelines), a showing can be approved at the discretion of the seller. Anyone traveling to our communities for a real estate reason should not do other activities while they are here and should return home directly after showing.

The Safer at Home order states not to drive more than 10 miles for recreation. Overnight visits are not allowed in Eagle County through May 31.

If you are moving here permanently in the next 30 days, you could apply for an exemption from the travel restrictions. You will need to provide some justification like I will be homeless if I don’t look at and buy a house now.

Our New Normal

Vial Valley listings are still coming on market but transactions are down. This information doesn’t surprise me due to what our whole community is going through doing this trying time. Showings are allowed, open houses are not, social distancing must be maintained. I am continuing to provide for my clients the best I can. Here is a great article about the Vail Valley real estate market. What to expect when you are looking at houses you must wear a mask and gloves! Maintain social distance of at least 6 feet. Virtual showings are preferred, but if I do show a house disinfection before and after showings is a must!
