October is officially here and fall is kicking off in the Vail Valley this year with the Vail-Beaver Creek Restaurant Week! With specials that start at $20.21 you’ll find a wide variety of offerings across two neighboring mountain resorts. Showcasing an incredibly diverse array of foods and stunning views this is a dining experience you don’t want to miss out on. Annual Vail Ski & Snowboard Swap
The annual Vail Ski and Snowboard Swap is back October 8-10. You’ll find everything from winter clothing, helmets, goggles, gloves, and all sorts of skiing, snowboarding, and mountain gear. Whether you’re in the market for new or used gear – you’ll find everything you’re looking for to prepare for fun on the mountain. A portion of all of the proceeds also helps fund the Ski and Snowboard Club of Vail. Get your tickets on their website here.
Bicycle Excursion Down Vail Pass with Charter Sports
Before winter is officially upon us you still have time to take in the beautiful mountain scenery off the slopes and on a bike! Charter Sports Ski & Snowboard Rentals is a tour company that offers a unique way for the entire family, all ages and abilities, to bike (cruise is a better term, really) down the mountain on a paved path.
The adventure begins in Vail, where staff will fit each rider with the correctly sized bike and safety equipment before they shuttle the group to the top of the Vail Pass to the drop-off point. From the top, it’s an easy, 3,000-foot descent back to Vail. You’ll pass through several picturesque towns like Frisco as you descend. Which is a great place to stop for coffee or ice cream!
