They’ve been working on it for a while but it’s finally done! The Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) had been wanting a new clubhouse for a long time. The original clubhouse was built in 1977 and needed updating to match the current size and caliber of the Club.
When the first clubhouse was built the club counted less than 100 members. Nowadays the SSCV has over 650 club members and has 100 coaches working with them! Clearly the clubhouse needed to match that growth. As a result the new clubhouse is quite a bit larger than the previous one.
The New Clubhouse
The brand new clubhouse has 5 stories of which the lower two will have SSCV equipment storage, administrative offices, video rooms, a gym, locker rooms, athlete lounges, medical treatment center and much more. The two levels above that are now luxury residential real estate and the lowest floor is an underground garage.
The new clubhouse also features changes on the outside such as an expanded three-lane driveway and better snow mitigation. The hope is that this will reduce the bottleneck of traffic that was being created during pick-up and drop-off times.
Starting November 8 the new pick-up and drop-off procedures went into effect. The SSCV is doing everything they can to make sure members are aware of the new rules. The driveway is now an active loading and unloading area and this should help move along traffic during peak hours.
Penthouse Condos – Fantastic Real Estate Development
There are two luxury condos located on the top floors and they are truly unique pieces of real estate. The condos have 270° views of the Vail valley and exceptional access to amenities and the resort. Naturally the condos are ski-in ski-out while also being incredibly well-located in Vail Village.
