The Town of Vail (not including Vail Village or Lionshead) dollar sales volume is down in 2020 61.8% for Single Family and Duplex homes. But the number of homes sold YTD is 42 versus 45 homes sold in 2019. The town of Vail Condo and Townhome sales volume in 2020 is 96.9% of 2019 volume. But the sales price per square foot rose to $657 versus $595 in 2019.

Vail Village saw the biggest gain YTD with $143,362,500 in sales volume versus $26,137,500 in 2019–yes, you saw that correctly. Sales volume in 2020 is 5.4 times greater than in 2019! This huge number comes from a couple of big sales over the last couple of months.

The highest sale ever in Vail Village occurred at 100 Vail Road where both sides of a duplex sold for $57,250,000!

Cordillera Market Sold Trends

Cordillera continues to show strength in 2020. Dollar volume is up 40% YTD in 2020 versus YTD34 homes have sold YTD versus 25 in 2019 YTD. Average sales price, however, dropped to $342 this year versus $346 in 2019. Highest sold price per square foot is $583 this year compared to $471 in 2019. A very good year so far for this gated community. Just in the last two months, it seems like Cordillera has been discovered.

Arrowhead Single Family Home & Duplex Homes Sold Trends

This year so far Arrowhead single-family and duplex dollar volume is only 79% of 2019. This year 14 homes have sold YTD versus 15 in 2010. To add insult to injury average sales price per square foot is down in Arrowhead to $565 from $594 in 2019. Condo and townhome dollar volume in Arrowhead is also down 28.6% from 2019.
