Welcome to the Vail Valley/Cordillera Real Estate Market Report 2020 Year in Review. The Volume of real estate sales in just the 5 focus areas (Town of Vail, Vail Village/Lionshead, Beaver Creek/Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead and Cordillera) surpassed $1.75 Billion in 2020! This is up from $1.11 Billion in 2019 and that’s with April, May and June being virtually shut down. Pretty darn good for our Slice of Mountain Paradise……

All Focus Area Sold Single Family Homes/ Sold Condos And Town Homes

VAIL VALLEY/CORDILLERA REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT 2020 YEAR IN REVIEW

The only area that showed a decrease in volume from the year before was in the Town of Vail (not including Vail Village and Lionshead) for single family and duplex homes. In 2020 SF/DP sales were $267.9M versus $283.6M.

While condominium and townhome sales all saw dramatic increases of no less than 30% in the Town of Vail to more than 70% in all the other areas. None showed more than twice the volume from the year before, however.

The strongest performance in all areas was for single family and duplex homes. Vail Village and Lionshead showed the best performance of all areas in 2020. Sales were three times the dollar volume with $203M in sales in 2020 versus $62.9M the year before.
