December what comes to mind when you think of your favorite family traditions in December? Holiday parties, Christmas of course, caroling, decorating your tree, and having family around! These are some of my favorite things I think about when December comes around! With this year looking so different for all of us being able to celebrate safely with family is most important! Wassail Fest
Are you wondering what a Wassail Fest is? Join them Sunday, December 6th through Monday, December 7th in Downtown Eagle for their 7th annual Wassail Fest. In Old English the word meant be you healthy it came to be known as hot mulled cider, traditionally drunk during wassailing, a medieval ritual intended to ensure a good cider apple harvest the following year. Local businesses will be serving up their secret version of Wassail. They need your help to go and taste as many of them as you can and cast your vote for your favorite. Virtual Santa Claus Visit
Friday, December 1th 2020 from 4 pm till 7 pm have your kids join in this virtual Santa Claus meeting. Even though Christmas events are looking different this year don’t have your kids miss out on meeting with Santa and telling him everything on their wish list! This online event is free for all ages. Time slots are filling quickly, so don’t wait to register. You will just need to have a forward-facing camera, webcam, zoom app to be able to participate in this event. Teton Gravity Research Films: “Make Believe”
Starting Tuesday, December 22nd at the Vilar Performing Arts Center. Two showings of an epic TGR film in one night called Make-Believe. Prices for the shows are 20 dollars per person. The film Make Believe inspiration is evoked spontaneously and without intention. For 25 years TGR has focused on turning Make Believe into reality, from exploring powder stashes in our backyard playground to first descents on unnamed peaks, the ethos of “live the dream” has defined their adventures.
