What a perfect time to get everything opening back up with summer here and countless things to do in our community. I am so proud of this community and how we all came together during this time. I am excited to get back to normal! Of course, we are still following guidelines: staying six feet apart, wearing masks, and frequent handwashing. But even with those guidelines, there are still great things you can do this month in the Vail Valley area! Check out my June Community Insider in the Vail Valley Area.
Vail Valley Golf Club
Vail Valley Golf Club has been open to the public since the middle of May. There are certain guidelines you have to follow when you are visiting this facility. You must practice social distancing guidelines, for example. The Grill on the Gore restaurant on the course will be available for grab-and-go food and drink. During this time no walk in tee times are welcome. You will need to get online and book your tee time. For a full list of guidelines for this course and to book your upcoming tee time click here!
Upper Piney River Falls Trail
This could also be the perfect time to get out and hike that trail that you have always wanted to with the family and you hadn’t got the chance to yet! Upper Piney River Falls Trail is one of Vail’s most stunning trails. It carves its way through 5.9 miles of gorgeous terrain. It wraps around Piney Lake, and it also features meadows, aspen forests, and plenty of quiet spots to stop for a few minutes and take in the beauty of Colorado wilderness. This trail is commonly used for approaching Mt. Powell, and will also lead you to a beautiful cascading waterfall. Go ahead and bring your four-legged furry friends with you as they are welcome on this trail, but they will just need to be kept on a leash. For directions and more information click here!
Cordillera Valley Also Opening Up
The Vail Valley continues to loosen restrictions and Cordillera is being proactive as they always have with any issues facing our community.
The Cordillera Valley Club Pool is open as of June 1st and there are no reservations required!
Cordillera Summit Course Opens Friday, June 12
Tee Times Available to Book Now. Cordillera Valley Course and Mountain Courses are open as is the Short Course. While the Short Course is available for free to all residents of Cordillera and all Club Members they do ask that you reserve a tee time.
Cordillera’s TimberHearth Restaurant is open Thursday – Tuesday from 11am to 7pm. Last reservations are at 6:30pm and they are closed on Wednesdays!. You can contact them at (970) 926-5588 for more information.
