The gardens are open year round at an 8,200 ft altitude in the Rocky Mountains offering incredible views and education opportunity.
Many visitors come to see the rare mountain plants and collection of alpine located at the gardens. There is also an education center and library to learn more about the alpine wildflower and plants.
The Alpine Gardens offer many guided and self guided tours throughout the winter where you can experience this winter wonderland and stunning scenery.
Through April 18, 2020, Lost In The Woods will be featured at the Education Center. This is an exhibition of contemporary botanical illustrations by the RMSBA of the mystery and majesty of trees. RMSBA is The Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists. Here you will find 31 original pieces of botanical art focused on the Rocky Mountain Region.
